This basic salad dressing recipe is more like a formula.
You can choose your own oil, vinegar, spices and sweetener. The more you make it, the more you’ll feel confident in whipping up your own in just a couple minutes' time. Then you won’t need to buy the expensive, bad-ingredient dressings on the grocery store shelves! Seriously, this is so easy. It’s better for your grocery budget. And it’s WAY healthier.
Basic Salad Dressing Recipe
1 part vinegar or citrus juice

Sweetener
Herbs and spices

Those are the basic things you need. You can put them in a Mason jar and shake! I have a cool dressing container I’ll link below for you to check out.
Here are a few of our family favorites that we make with this formula.
Red Wine Vinaigrette
⅓ cup red wine vinegar
⅔ cup olive oil
1 tbsp. raw honey
1 tsp. Dried Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste.
Balsamic Vinaigrette
⅓ cup balsamic vinegar
⅔ cup olive oil
1 tbsp. raw honey
1 tsp. Dried Italian seasoning
Mexican-style Vinaigrette
⅓ c. lime juice
⅔ c. avocado oil
1 tbsp. raw honey
1 tsp. chopped fresh cilantro
Dash of cumin
Dash of onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
You can make more or less according to what you need. Our family of six uses about a cup of dressing when we all eat salads for a meal.
We are so used to buying salad dressing at the store, we’ve just totally forgotten how easy this is to make. Being able to choose your own healthy ingredients is a must when it comes to dressing! You ruin the health benefits of a salad when you pour inflammatory oils and processed sweeteners on them! I maybe buy 1-2 pre-made salad dressings a year, for when we are on vacation or something like that.
I hope you try this out!
